The information contained in the Community Pages of this website intends to highlight both ongoing and imminent issues relating to Gloucestershire Airport, with the view to facilitating a dialogue with the local community and other, relevant, interested organisations.

New planning guidelines call for a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) to be developed as part of the local authority's Local Development Framework (LDF) and Local Development Documents (LDD) therein.

The SCI sets out the policy and recommendations for local community involvement in planning assessment and decision-making processes. Gloucestershire Airport recognises that any development or evolution of an airport in particular, is of interest to the community at large and therefore intends to keep interested parties informed of forthcoming plans through both our website and direct contact with community representatives.

Gloucestershire Airport Consultative Committee has representation from a wide number of local interest groups including local residents' associations, city, borough and parish councils, airport users and airport/company management. This committee meets on a regular basis, and these meetings act as a catalyst to enable communication and consultation between the airport, its users and the local community. The committee regularly receives and reviews records of aircraft complaints from members of the public as well as reviewing airport operations.
