Drones/Small Unmanned Aircraft (UAV)
If you are intending to operate a drone within 2nm of the aerodrome please apply using the following link https://app.airportal.aero
Applications must be submitted 5 days prior to drone operation. A permit fee of £35 applies and must be paid prior to any permit being issued.
Please be aware all drone applications are assessed by Gloucestershire Police.
Cranes / Tall Equipment
If you are intending to operate a crane within the vicinity of the aerodrome please apply using the following link https://app.airportal.aero

Safeguarding - Scale of changes
- Drones - £35
- Cranes, 5 working days or more (including all lifting equipment) - £300
- Cranes, within 5 working days (including all lifting equipment) - £450
- Initial Planning applications - Free of charge
- Development pre-application reviews (No IFP Assessment) - £200 an hour (estimate provided on application)
- External IFP Assessments - £3000
- Special Event safeguarding - no technical assessment required - price on request.
- Special Event safeguarding - technical assessment required - price on request.
- Aeronuatical studies / assessment (including wind turbines) - price on request.
- Glint and Glare - price on request.
