Permit to Work Requirements
Gloucestershire Airport is committed to maintaining a safe and responsible working environment for all airport users, staff, contractors and visitors. To support this commitment, the Safeguarding Team has established procedures to ensure that all work carried out on airport premises is appropriately managed and controlled.
All third parties and contractors wishing to undertake work at Gloucestershire Airport (GLO) must obtain an approved Permit to Work before commencing any works. Applications must be submitted via the AirPortal system at least five working days before the planned start date.
All applications must include the relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and valid insurance documentation. Permits must be reviewed, approved and formally issued by an authorised person before any work can begin.
To ensure the safety of everyone on site, all work must be properly planned, controlled and carried out in accordance with the airport’s safety requirements.
All individual contractors attending site to undertake work must comply with the prescribed safety conditions specified in the Permit to Work.
Once the permit has been approved and issued, authorisation to undertake the specified works will be granted, subject to compliance with all permit conditions. The permit will remain active until its stated expiry date, unless it is suspended or cancelled by Gloucestershire Airport during the authorised period.
